In a past life, I was a mathematician. I received my PhD from University of Reading in 2011 and held postdoctoral positions at Universities of Crete, Cincinnati and Michigan. Most recently, I was an Assistant Professor at Yale-NUS College.
My research was in Partial Differential Equations, specifically linear initial boundary value problems of high spatial order, and diagonalizability of linear differential operators with exotic boundary conditions. My mathematics website contains more information about my research.
Much of my research in 2018–2022 was conducted with a team of undergraduate students from Yale-NUS College. The Unified Transform Lab proudly supported the work of 22 students over five years, resulting in two academic papers and many more technical reports.
As a professor and postdoc, I taught courses across mathematics and data science, including Orindary & Partial Differential Equations, Proof, Calculus, Complex Analysis, and Quantitative Reasoning. Some of my resources are available from my teaching page.
